The ADM Group to Explore the Potential for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Infrastructure in Pakistan

Shanghai: The ADM Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand the nation's electric vehicle charging infrastructure, actively supporting the government's goal of encouraging the use of electric vehicles.
The ADM Group will oversee the operations, develop the site and install the electric vehicle charging equipment throughout the course of the following three to five years.
Recently, the Government of Pakistan adopted a program to encourage the utilization of battery-powered vehicles as a greener method of transportation in Pakistan. The Government wants thirty percent of new cars sold in Pakistan by 2030 to be environmentally friendly. The ADM Group joined forces to support the objective and policy.
Speaking with local media agency, Mr. Yasir Bhambhani, CEO of the ADM Group stated that; “EVs are being promoted on numerous fronts, including through new federal and provincial policies and by public commitments from automakers to convert their fleets to EVs.
However, there are still some fundamental issues that could affect the widespread adoption of EVs, including an absence of EV infrastructure in Pakistan.”
Responding to another question, He stated that; “Electric vehicles have long heralded as a potential savior from climate change, a cleaner way to commute around major cities, and an effective solution to weaning humanity off of fossil fuels.”
As climate concerns and a sharp focus on cleaner transportation continue to garner significant worldwide attention, ADM Group expand, grow, and ship in an attempt to address climate change and the growing global emphasis on cleaner transportation.

Potential Investment in Pakistan
ADM Group is in contact with Officials in Pakistan regarding the investment of $250 million in setting up an EV assembly, manufacturing plant and Charging infrastructure nationwide. Electric car markets are seeing exponential growth as sales exceeded 10 million in 2022. A total of 14% of all new cars sold were electric in 2022, up from around 9% in 2021 and less than 5% in 2020. Electric car sales are expected to continue strongly through 2023. Over 2.3 million electric cars were sold in the first quarter, about 25% more than in the same period last year.

Talking to Local Media Agency, Yasir Bhambhani, Head of ADM investments said，“China’s economy continues to grow steadily.We are comfortable and confident about the positive momentum in China’s economy. I have convinced the BOD to approve the initial investment proposal and a Major investment of 50 million Dollars to expand our diversified portfolio.”
ADM Group plans to invest in Hotels, Real Estate, manufacturing and E-Commerce. Major Investment will be made in three different phases. Initial investment is deemed to win the confidence of its partners and stakeholders with a promising ROI. In an answer to a question about e-commerce, Mr. Bhambhani said “online and offline markets are merging rather than competing in China.”
